Virginia June Mason

View Video TributeVirginia June Mason, 84, of Washington, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011, in Donnell House. She was born June 24, 1926, in St. Mary’s, West Virginia, a daughter of William and Jessie Kellar Oldfield. Mrs. Mason was a waitress at the George Washington Hotel and the Holiday Inn. She enjoyed crafts, wood crafting, painting and traveling. Mrs. Mason was a member of Church of Christ. On August 5, 1945, she married Paul M. Mason, who died September 12, 2002. Surviving are a son, Mark M. (Susan) Mason of Washington; three daughters, Paulette Graham and Jessica (David) Provenzano, both of Washington, and Marie (Steve) Morgan of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher Graham, Rachel Coffield, Nicole Phillips, Michelle Provenzano and Shannon Mason; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon Coffield, Isabella Coffield and Ethan Phillips. Deceased are a sister, Faye Beighley; and two brothers, Kellar Oldfield and Richard Oldfield. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 15th, with Rev. Josh Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
