Elizabeth M. Yerman Pavkovich

Elizabeth Marie Yerman Pavkovich, 81, of Washington, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, in the Washington Hospital after having been in declining health. She was born in Washington on October 21, 1929, a daughter of Samuel J. and Nancy E. Bowman Yerman. Mrs. Pavkovich was a member of the Fourth Presbyterian Church. She worked for many years as a waitress at the Tower Restaurant in Washington. In 1947, she married Nicholas “ Nick “ Pavkovich, who died in December of 1990. Surviving are a son, Larry ( Sonja ) Pavkovich of Gainesville, Georgia; two daughters, Cathy J. Pavkovich of Washington and Linda ( Robert ) Harris of Claysville; a sister, Martha Ward of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Kevin and Gary Sprowls, Rebecca Myers, and Jeff Pavkovich; and a great-grandchild, Shawn White. Preceding her in death are two grandchildren, Nicky Brent Pavkovich and Russell Pavkovich; a brother Neal Yerman; and a sister Henrietta Hodgekinson. At the request of the deceased, no public visitation will be held. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at 1:00 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Amity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
