Clara Bell Russell Turk, 70, of Washington, formerly of Westland, died Sunday, January 23, 2011, in Canonsburg Hospital. She had been ill since July 2010.
She was born May 19, 1940, in Hickory, a daughter of Albert William Russell and Rose Elmira Florence Clemens Russell.
Mrs. Turk was a homemaker who had worked at American Hardware Manufacturer for five years.
She was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church and Houston American Legion Auxiliary.
At one time, she played darts for local teams. Mrs. Turk’s greatest joy was cooking for friends and family.
On October 12, 1957, she married Frank C. Turk, Sr., who died August 26, 2003.
Surviving are a son, Frank Charles Turk, Jr., of Washington; a daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Bertosa of Parma, Ohio; three brothers, Charles (Pam) Russell, Harold (Pam) Russell and Howard (LuAnn) Russell; three sisters, Betty (Dave) Torboli, Lois (Bob) Weaver and Darlene (Wayne) Elliott.
Deceased are a son, Joseph George Turk; a sister, Florence Sifert; and two brothers, Gaylord Russell and Albert Russell.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 1 to 4 and 5 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 27th, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in North Buffalo Church Cemetery.
