Edward H. Jones, 83, of Washington, died on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Washington Hospital.
He was born on June 6, 1927, in Pittsburgh, a son of Edward, Sr. and Mable Guest Jones.
Mr. Jones had worked as a foreman for Washington Steel Corporation.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 19, 1946, and served as a Private First Class in the 63rd Air Material Squadron, until his honorable discharge on March 7, 1947. For his service, he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking and making grandfather clocks.
On September 2, 1948, he married Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Filosi, who died on March 1, 2009.
Surviving is a daughter, Susan (Michael) Coyne, of Washington, and 3 grandchildren, Michelle, Sean and Kerry Coyne.
Deceased is a sister, Rowena Wise.
Services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
