Ida Mae Greger, 78, of Washington, died on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Donnell House.
She was born on August 31, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of Mike and Mary Shulin.
Mrs. Greger had worked at Hazel Atlas Company for 34 years, as a union representative and secretary. She had also worked at J.C. Penney’s for 20 years as a clerk in the jewelry department.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Mrs. Greger was a member of Women of the Moose, #22, Chapter 318, the ladies auxiliary of the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion, and had been secretary of the Sanitation Authority Board in Canton Township.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and was a very gifted calligrapher.
Mrs. Greger was a 1950 graduate of Trinity High School and also attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
On September 22, 1962, she married Elmer Joseph Greger, who died on March 15, 2009.
Also surviving are her dear friends, Ester Cinino, Marilyn McCarrell, Judy Smith, Patty Rugg, Tab Taberella, Betty DiGiovani and Carmella Reuscheu.
Deceased are 2 sons, Peter and William Greger.
Friends will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., with Father Michael Ruffalo as Celebrant.
Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery.
