Mary Whitco, 92, of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Washington, died Sunday, February 6, 2011, in her residence.
She was born December 3, 1918, in Greensburg, a daughter of Michael Orlosky and Mary Begill Orlosky Bedley.
Mrs. Whitco was a homemaker. She was a member of Lady of the Sign Catholic Church in Florida. Before moving to Florida, she was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg for 28 years.
She was married for 69 years and 3 months to Michael Whitco, Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael and his wife, Rose; two brothers, George Bedley and wife Norma of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Russell Bedley of Washington; two grandchildren, Pamela Whitco of Washington and Michelle Whitco of Boynton Beach, Florida.
Deceased are a son, James Whitco; two sisters, Katherine Rice and Martha Bedley; and two brothers, John Orlosky and Joseph Orlosky.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. On Saturday, February 12th, funeral prayers will be recited at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m., in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg, with Father Joseph Jugan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
