Dorothy Jane McNansky, 82, of Washington, died Sunday, February 13, 2011, in Kade Nursing Home.
She was born September 11, 1928, in Duquesne, a daughter of Michael and Barbara Safko.
Mrs. McNansky was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was a housekeeper at the church for more than ten years.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking.
On November 28, 1944, she married John Joseph McNansky, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jack (Mary Lou) McNansky, of Lone Pine; a daughter, Barbara (Bruce) Metz, of Crucible; a step-brother, Bill Safko, of Canonsburg; a step-sister, Carol Monroe, of South Park; three grandchildren, Heather Lloyd, Tricia Ball and Stefanie McNansky; and three great grandchildren, Rylie, Brayden, and Aceyton.
Deceased is a brother, Robert Safko.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, in William G Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, with Father William Feeney, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
