Dorothy Jane Mcnansky

Dorothy Jane McNansky, 82, of Washington, died Sunday, February 13, 2011, in Kade Nursing Home. She was born September 11, 1928, in Duquesne, a daughter of Michael and Barbara Safko. Mrs. McNansky was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was a housekeeper at the church for more than ten years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. On November 28, 1944, she married John Joseph McNansky, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jack (Mary Lou) McNansky, of Lone Pine; a daughter, Barbara (Bruce) Metz, of Crucible; a step-brother, Bill Safko, of Canonsburg; a step-sister, Carol Monroe, of South Park; three grandchildren, Heather Lloyd, Tricia Ball and Stefanie McNansky; and three great grandchildren, Rylie, Brayden, and Aceyton. Deceased is a brother, Robert Safko. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, in William G Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, with Father William Feeney, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W.
