Dorothy R. Hampe, 81, of Washington, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born March 31, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of Michael and Antonia Koweleski Serwatka.
Mrs. Hampe was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, watching television and going for rides.
She was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church.
On June 2, 1951, she married Fred N. Hampe, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald (Debra) Hampe of McDonald; a sister, Frances Ulanich of Chesapeake, Virginia; and a grandchild, Alicia Hampe.
Deceased are three brothers, Edward, Frank and Chester Serwatka; six sisters, Sophie Yaros, Ann Picio, Jennie McConnell, Laura Piascik, Helen Allen and Stella DaRe; and two siblings who died in infancy.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 22nd, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
