Evelyn Patricia “Teresa” Hull, 75, of Washington, died Friday, February 18, 2011, in Washington County Health Center.
She was born April 8, 1935, in Altoona, a daughter of Alvin and Florence McGregor Chirdon.
Mrs. Hull worked as a legal secretary for John Myers, Attorney at Law.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Mrs. Hull enjoyed spending time with family, crocheting, reading, especially the New York Times, bowling and solving crossword puzzles.
On February 27, 1954, in St. Leo’s Catholic Church, she married Dwight W. Hull, whom she met while he was in the Air Force and stationed at Blue Knob in Altoona. As a devoted military wife, she traveled with her husband and children, living in Japan, Hawaii and Florida before settling in Washington in 1970.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, David Hull of Springfield, Missouri, and Alan (Susan) Hull of Palatka, Florida; a daughter, Sharon (Richard) Gray of Washington; one sister, Alice Winrick of Altoona; five grandchildren, Stephanie Gray, Christy Gray, David Hull, Ashley Hull and Peyton Hull; and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Dolores, who died in infancy, and a brother, Irvin Chirdon.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 23rd, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Burial will be follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 12:30 p.m.
