Susan Alberta Morris

Susan Alberta Morris, 89, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born February 13, 1922, in Aleppo, a daughter of Earl A. and Laura V. Cook Anderson. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She was Christian by faith. On September 13, 1938, she married Charles W. Morris, who died January 5, 1969. Surviving are a son, Donald W. (Ann) Morris of Washington; a brother, Robert E. Anderson of Waynesburg; a sister, Virginia Moore of Waynesburg; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Walter and William Morris; three daughters, Janet Morris Varner, Mary Lou Matthews, and Susan Carol Lewis; three brothers, Wilbur, Donald and Raymond Anderson; and two sisters, Irene Davis and Lorene Clutter. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 25th. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
