Donna Fenton Syrek

Donna Fenton Syrek, 70, of Washington, died on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at McMurray Hills Manor. She was born on October 3, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude Renko Fenton. Mrs. Syrek had worked as an executive secretary at Gulf Oil Corporation. She was a graduate of Washington High School and Robert Morris College, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Mrs. Syrek was a proud member of the Nemacolin Country Club for 33 years, and also of the Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club, in St. Petersburg, Florida, for 33 years. She enjoyed reading, golfing, genealogy, and helping others. She was the kind of person that others, even strangers, gravitated to and loved instantly, but, above all else, she found great joy in spending time with her son, Terry. Mrs. Syrek is survived by her husband, Terrance “Teck” Syrek, her son, Terrance Fenton “Terry” Syrek, of White Plains, NY; a cousin, Myrna Reed, and 2 Godchildren, Bethel Borgeson and Hannah Haas. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 3, 2011, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301. Services will be held at 6 p.m., following visitation, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 775 North Main Street Washington, PA.
