Robert “Carl” Marth, 77, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on February 3, 1934, a son of Joseph and Georgia Mull Marth.
Mr. Marth worked for Black Top Paving in their concrete division, and formerly worked for Interstate Transport Inc., of Pittsburgh, as a tow truck driver.
He enjoyed going to auctions, and all of the social interactions associated with them. He was a self-taught musician, playing multiple instruments, and he loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Marth was Protestant.
His wife, Barbara Joyce Pierce, died on April 25, 1997.
Surviving are 2 sons, Raymond Edward Kennedy, of Avella and Joseph Charles Marth, of Meadowlands; 3 daughters, Diana Lynn Kennedy, of Canonsburg, Mary Lucille Marth, of Aliquippa and Alison Joyce Marth-Stevens, of Richeyville; a sister, Annie McMillan, of Westland, PA; 5 grandchildren, Barbie, Amanda, Joey, Mason and Luke; and 4 great grandchildren, including, Brandon, Jeremy and Aden.
Deceased are a son, Robert William “Bobby” Kennedy; 4 brothers, George, David James, Joe and Bill Marth; and 2 sisters, Frances Russell and Lena Marth.
Friends will be received on Saturday, from 6 to 8 and Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery.
