John R. Roupe, 58, of Washington, died Sunday, April 3, 2010, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born July 8, 1952, in Washington, a son of James E. “Sonny” Roupe, Sr. and the late Frances L. Phillips Roupe.
Mr. Roupe worked at Jessop Steel Company.
His grandchildren lovingly called him “Pappy John.”
Surviving are two sons, Brian (Deahna) of Arizona and Russell of Washington; a daughter, Jeanette of Ohio; his fiancée, Dawn McCracken; three brothers, James E. Roupe, Jr. and Frank (Carol) Roupe, both of Washington and Scott Roupe of Claysville; a sister, Karen (Bill) Baldridge of Claysville; and four grandchildren, Krystina, Victoria and Jaelyne Roupe and Sheamus Phillips.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 7th, with Rev. Tom Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
