Marilyn Lucille Paul, 80, of Washington, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, in her residence.
She was born October 6, 1930, in Washington, a daughter of Hallie and Pearl McQuay Morris.
Mrs. Paul was a graduate of Washington High School. She worked in real estate sales for 4 years and as a secretary at Washington Hospital for 5 years.
Mrs. Paul was a member of Covenant Life Fellowship, where she served as a deacon. She enjoyed baking cookies and nut rolls, solving crossword puzzles, traveling, and crocheting afghans and potholders.
On October 9, 1948, she married August V. Paul, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Donald W. (Jodie McCrerey) Paul of New Haven, Vermont; two daughters, Joyce (David) Danley of Claysville and Ruth (Tom) Lang of Houston; a sister, Phyllis Mason of Washington; six grandchildren, Jennifer Danley, Joshua Danley, Jim Paul, Michael (Whitney Hoyt) Paul, Matthew Paul and Amy Lang; two great grandchildren, Christian Forsythe and Phoenix Heffner.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Gene Morris.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 18th, with Rev. Craig Bellis officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
