Adamary Hafenbrack Frederick, 92, of Washington, went to be with her husband, Warren, and the Lord, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.
She was born August 8, 1918, in Oakview, Colorado, a daughter of Archie Bell and Annie Jennings Lunson.
Mrs. Frederick spent her childhood with her mother, her beloved stepfather, Christopher G. Hafenbrack, and her brothers and sisters in Canonsburg, where she attended Canonsburg schools and graduated from Canonsburg High School in 1937.
She married the love of her life, Warren Frederick on August 16, 1937. Mr. Frederick died October 15, 1996.
Mrs. Frederick was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School, organized rummage sales, and co-produced children’s Christmas plays. She was also a Girl Scout leader.
Mrs. Frederick was devoted to her family.
Surviving are her children, Patricia Ann and Roger Dague of Stuart Draft, Virginia, John C. and Charlotte Nicholson Frederick of Englewood, Florida, Mary Warrenna “Rennie” Frederick and Roy Montgomery of Washington, and Margaret Louise and Robert Stopko of Marianna; grandchildren, Mark Dague and Donna Carr of Elkins, West Virginia, Mary Elizabeth and Joseph Osborne of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Jennifer and Gary Rippel of Gloucester, Virginia, John C. Jr. and Valerie Ifft Frederick of Shillington, Timothy Frederick of Conroe, Texas, Michael Frederick of Englewood, Florida, Russell W. Palm and Christine Murphy of Morris, Illinois, Christopher Palm of Washington, Ammie Stopko and Robert Castanet of Canonsburg, Robert Jr. and Cynthia Giles Stopko of Millsboro, Douglas Montgomery and Lisa Phelps of Barnstead, New Hampshire, and Gregory and Melissa Schenfeld Montgomery of Middletown.
Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Adrienne Dague and Charles Bell of Millcreek, West Virginia, Matthew and Joshua Osborne of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Logan and Hannah Rippel of Gloucester, Virginia, Jessica and Jared Frederick of Shillington,
Ashley Marie Palm of Aurora, Indiana, Brittany Palm of Prosperity, Olivia, Ayla and Blake Stopko of Millsboro, Gabriella Castanet of Canonsburg, and Ericha Murphy of Morris, Illinois; three great-great grandchildren, are Lindsey, Emma and Owen Bell of Millcreek; three sisters, Katherine Juby of Waldwick, NJ; Emma Robinson of Canonsburg and Barbara Ventresca of Canonsburg; many nieces and nephews; and cherished friends, including John (Pete) and Rita Yancosek.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are brothers, John Robert and Christopher A. Hafenbrack; and two grandsons, Scott Edward Dague and Mark A. Montgomery.
Friends will be received Noon to 2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, May 7th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Karen Stevenson officiating.
