Joyce Romaine Forgie

Member of Faith U.P. Church. Joyce Romaine Davis Forgie, 82, of Washington, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, in Washington Hospital. She had been in declining health. She was born August 9, 1928, in Washington, a daughter of William H. and Helen Murray Davis. Mrs. Forgie graduated from Washington High School in 1946 and Penn Commercial in July 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church and Washington County Senior Citizens. Mrs. Forgie enjoyed playing cards and especially spending time with her grandchildren. On July 20, 1951, she married Ivan Neel Forgie, who died September 17, 1998. Surviving are two sons, William I. (Paula) Forgie and David N. (Jolene) Forgie, both of Washington; a brother, William Davis of Bridgeville; four grandchildren, McCall, Lauren, Carlee and Jordan; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two sisters, Glenna Pettit and Helen Dickman. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, with Pastor Linda Webster officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
