Roger Dale Ingram, 87, of Claysville, died on May 5, 2011, in his residence.
He was born on November 10, 1923, in Majorsville, WV, a son of the late Warren (Les) and Mary Earliwine Ingram.
A resident of Claysville for more than 70 years, he was a member of the Taylorstown Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon and trustee.
Mr. Ingram worked for Coen Oil Company for 45 years in the maintenance department, and was a Donegal Township Police officer for more than 25 years.
A former 4-H leader, judge and ringmaster at many horse shows around the area, he enjoyed gardening, horses, farming, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the State Line Saddle Club.
On September 7, 1943, he married Eva Catherine McCartney, who died on May 28, 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy M. (Gerald) Pattison, of West Alexander; 2 sons, James L. Ingram, of Claysville, and Dennis E. (Marlene) Ingram, of Washington, grandchildren, Josh (Jamie) Pattison, Tom Ingram, Tony Ingram, Charley (Ashley) Ingram, Dennis D. (Ashley) Ingram, Elisha Ingram, Ashley Ingram, Brittany Ingramn and Amy Ingram, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Jonathan D. Ingram, a grandson, Todd Pattison, 2 sisters, Emma Meneely and Dorothy Ingram and 4 brothers, Edward (Denver) Ingram, Woodrow (Woody) Ingram, Hayward Ingram and Carl Ingram.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Bruce Graff officiating.
Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
