Hazel Marie Farley, 85, of Washington, died Thursday, May 12, 2011, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born April 25, 1926, in Claysville, a daughter of Steven Addison Johnson and Hazel Marie Woodruff Johnson.
Mrs. Farley was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and country music.
She was Protestant by faith.
In 1963, in Chicago, she married Delbert Reed “Curley” Farley, who died July 15, 1995.
Surviving are a sister, Jane Bishop of McMurray; two grandchildren, John Charlton and Tammy Hobart; and one great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, John William Charlton, who was killed in Vietnam; seven brothers, Delbert, Chuck, Robert, Dutch, Melvin, George and Bud; and three sisters, Leona Linton, Louise Hoff and Loretta Shanor.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 16th, from 11 a.m. till 1:30 p.m., the time of service. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
