Bernard W. Bizzack, 77, of Washington, died on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at his residence, after a one and a half year illness.
He was born on November 17, 1933, in Washington, a son of the late Matthew “Mike” and Margaret Ohouske Bizzack.
Mr. Bizzack was a graduate of Chartiers High School and had worked at Pennsylvania American Water, for 43 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
A member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, he loved his dog, Bailey, enjoyed oil painting, gardening and yardwork, and was an avid Steeler fan.
On May 3, 1969, he married Rosemarie Kendra, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Gerald R. (Regina) Coleman and Joseph A. Coleman, both of Washington; a daughter, Tricia (Joel) Mankoski, of Harrisburg; a brother, Don (Helen) Bizzack, of Washington; 5 grandchildren, Gene (Melissa), Christin (Caleb), Alexa, Nathan and Aubrey; and 3 great grandchildren, Carly, Mya and Geno.
Deceased are 2 sisters, Regina Mazza and Margaret “Toots” Bizzack.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, with Father John L. O’Shea as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
