Barbara Leslie Ware

Barbara Leslie Ware, 81, of Washington, died on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the Washington County Health Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 28, 1929, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Frederick M. and Mabelle Scott Leslie. For 20 years, she had worked for Washington Federal Savings Bank, as a mailroom supervisor and as a teller. She enjoyed traveling. Her husband, Edward Ware, died in 1985. Surviving are 3 sons, William C. Ware, of Washington, Dr. Jeffery S. (Sue) Ware, of St. Louis, MO; and Major James E. (Lisa) Ware, of Fairbanks, AL; a daughter, Sandra (Ron) Schieck, of Canonsburg; 10 grandchildren, Kristin, Lauren, Kris, Danny, Scott, Stephen, Brittany, Alex, Kyler and Leslie; and 4 great grandchildren, Lucas, Ryleigh, Emma and Julius. Deceased are a sister, Nancy Coen and a daughter, Susan Longdon. Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
