Lloyd Palmer Durbin, Sr.
Lloyd Palmer Durbin, Sr., 70, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 22, 2011, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born on January 14, 1941, in Sycamore, PA, a son of Charles F. and Goldie Dealena Pierson Durbin.
For 30 years he had worked for Washington Penn Plastics.
A fun-loving person, he enjoyed restoring old cars, riding quads, mud bogs and coon hunting.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Ruth Shrader.
Also surviving are a son, Lloyd Durbin, Jr., of Washington; a daughter, Cindy (Mike) O’Donnell, of Waynesburg; 4 brothers, Leroy Durbin, of Washington, Howard Durbin, of Prosperity and Harold Durbin and David Ray Durbin, both of Washington; 2 sisters, Betty Robinson, of Washington and Mary Davis, of Bedford, OH; 3 grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Marody, Erika Marshall and Dalton Ray Durbin; 3 great grandchildren, Marilynn, Johnathon and Madelyne; as well as Joe Steadman, whom he treated like an adopted son.
Deceased are 3 brothers, Charles, George and William Durbin, and a half sister, Anna Haring.
Friends will be received 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., the time of service, Friday, May 27th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery.
