James O. Prigg, 89, of Canonsburg, formerly of Washington, died Monday, May 30, 2011, in Consulate Health Care, Canonsburg. He had been ill since October 2010.
He was born August 29, 1921, in Washington, a son of Harry C. and Cora Elizabeth Mounts Prigg.
Mr. Prigg attended Trinity Schools. He worked at Washington Steel and was a self-employed farmer.
Mr. Prigg was a member of Church of the Covenant.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra (Alfred) Gauthier of Freetown, Massachusetts; a sister, Ellen Grace Prigg of Washington; two grandchildren, Alfred James Gauthier and Stephen Joseph Gauthier; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Leroy Prigg; and four sisters, Maudeline McQuay, Helen P. Danley, Silvia Hagerty and Mary Lou Auld.
Friends will be received 10 a.m. till 1 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, June 2nd, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Randy Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
