Evelyn Mae Hauser

Evelyn Mae Hauser, 86, of Washington, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, in The Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born December 24, 1924, in Claysville, a daughter of Wendell and Bernice Edgar Higgins. Mrs. Hauser graduate from Washington High School. A homemaker for most of her life, she worked as an aid at the Washington Hospital for five years and at the Washington County Health Center for 10 years. Mrs. Hauser was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church. Her first husband, William D. Brownlee Jr., is deceased. On May 23, 1979, she married Robert Keith Hauser, who survives. Also surviving are a son, William D. (Margaret) Brownlee, III, of Lakeland, Florida; two daughters, Rebecca McClelland and Susan (Ron) Humphreys, both of Washington; three grandchildren, Jamie, Ronald and Cory; four great-grandchildren, Ciara, Robert, Megan and Morgan; and two great-great grandchildren. Deceased is a grandchild, Renae Brownlee. Friends will be received Tuesday form 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 8th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 331 South Main St., Washington, PA 15301; or to Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Avenue, E201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
