Robert Tracy Crumrine, 83, of Washington, died Friday, June 17, 2011, in Kade Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 9, 1927, in Washington, a son of Norman and Hazel Loar
Crumrine.
On November 30, 1945, he entered the U. S. Army, serving with the 2nd Calvary Regiment “E” Troop 66th Army Field Artillery Battalion. He received the Army of Occupation Medal and World War II Victory Medal, and was Honorably Discharged on March 15, 1947.
Mr. Crumrine was a masonry worker in the construction field.
He enjoyed horses.
On February 8, 1960, he married Margaret Janet Lynch, who died December 13, 1996.
Surviving are three daughters, Robin (Barry) Evans, Rhonda (Ed) Zediker, and Renee (Michael) Rosmus, all of Washington; two sisters, Eileen Davis, of Manassas, Virginia, and Betty Day, of Washington; and three grandchildren, Sheena Hudson, Daniel Hudson, and Sonja Zediker.
Deceased are three brothers, Homer, Bill, and Aaron Crumrine; and a sister, Louise Perrine.
Friends will be received 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., the hour of service, Monday, June 20, 2011, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pat Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
