Janet Ullom Fowler, 38, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in the Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 26, 1972, in Washington, a daughter of Phyllis Webster Ullom of Washington and the late Donald Ullom.
Mrs. Fowler graduated from Washington High School in 1991 and from Duquesne University.
For the past 14 years she was the controller for Master Woodcraft Corporation.
Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center, a volunteer for hospice, and participated in fitness competitions. She always projected a positive attitude and uplifted others with positive encouragement.
Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Church of Christ in Washington.
On June 19, 2010, she married R. Shane Fowler, who survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Denise (Ray) Cornell of Collier Township; and several close loving friends.
She will be missed by her dogs, Tyson and Duchess.
Friends will be received Friday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, June 25th, with John Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
