Lillian Lucille Manon, 88, of Washington, died on Friday, July 1, 2011, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, after a 6-month illness.
She was born on October 25, 1922, in Jacksonburg, WV, a daughter of Albert and Mary Edgell Kendall.
Mrs. Manon was a 1941 graduate of Trinity High School.
A 70-year member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church, she was also a charter member of South Franklin Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the Laurel Mountain Coachmen Camping Club, and the Prosperity Homemakers.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping, bowling, sewing, knitting and crafts.
On June 19, 1941, she married John “Jack” Thomas Manon, who died on March 29, 2005.
Surviving are 3 sons, John A. (Debra) Manon, of Washington; Thomas K. (Kim) Manon, of Washington; and Michael G. (Renee) Manon, of Ocean Springs, MS; 2 daughters, Twila A. (John) Fischer, of Washington; and Teresa R. (Larry) Smith, of Meadville, PA; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, William, Michelle, Suzette, Chastity and Kelly; several step grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Stella McCoy, 3 brothers, Herman “Ken” Kendall, Dale Kendall and Ralph Kendall; 2 brothers and a sister, who all died in infancy.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 5, from, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Joshua Brown officiating.
