Patricia Eleine Pettit Barnes, 69, of Washington, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She had been ill since November 2010.
She was born November 27, 1941, in Washington, a daughter of Harry “Red” Pettit and Eleine Lyons Pettit.
Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker who had worked in the kitchen at the Washington Hospital and at the Meadows. She was a member of Church of God and Prophecy in Waynesburg.
Mrs. Barnes enjoyed country music, dancing, horses, the Adios Race, attending flea markets and especially showering her children and grandchildren with gifts.
In 1964, she married Charles W. Naraskivitch Sr., who died in 2001.
Surviving are three sons, Charles W. Naraskivitch Jr. (Amy Shaner), Thomas (Brenda) Naraskivitch and Joseph (Judy) Naraskivitch, all of Washington; a daughter, Renee (Jim) Donaldson of West Alexander; a brother, Charles “Bill” (Ethel) Lyons of Jacksonville, Arkansas; three sisters, Peggy (Bill) Rice of Scenery Hill, Alice (Stanley) Shuba and Lois McCombs, both of Washington; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Harry “Buck” Pettit.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 11th, with Pastor Valinda Custer officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
