Tony Angott, 72, of Washington, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, in the Washington Hospital, following a two-week illness.
He was born July 8, 1939, in Washington, a son of Tony Angott Sr. and Catherine Bellotti Angott.
Mr. Angott graduated from Trinity High School. He worked as a laborer at McGraw-Edison/Cooper and retired from Trinity High School, where he worked as a custodian.
Mr. Angott was an avid golfer.
He was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church.
On September 6, 1958, he married Rose Ann Romano, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Richard Anthony (Allison) Angott of Hermitage; two brothers, Sammy (Beanie) Angott and Johnny (Liz) Angott, both of Washington; a sister, Ursoline McGary of West Alexander; three grandchildren, Bethany Marie Kenyon, Leah Lynn Angott and Moriah Joy Angott.
Deceased are a son, Mark Joseph Angott; a daughter, Stacy Lynn Angott; and a sister, Theresa Medovich.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15th, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
