Robert Charles Miller

Robert Charles Miller, 70, of Avella, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, in Donnell House. He was born July 6, 1941, in Washington, a son of Robert S. and Marian Louise Lytton Miller. Mr. Miller was a life-long over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church, the Alpine Lodge, AARP and ARC. Mr. Miller enjoyed country music, woodworking, and playing cards and loved to fish. On December 20, 1960, he married Juanita R. Whyte, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert C. (Barbara) Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two daughters, Angel Sherman of Charleroi and Tina M. (Bruce) Crawford of Meadowlands; a sister, Margaret “Peg” Yost of Beech Bottom, West Virginia; 10 grandchildren, Summer Laundres, Amber Miller, Ashley Miller, Robert Bruce Miller, David Duvall, Julie Lynn Sherman, Jacob Sherman, Jessie E. Keener, Amanda Crawford, April Michelle Sherman; two great-grandchildren, Jacob R. Spencer and Christopher T. Dodd. Deceased are three daughters, Janet, Janice and Lisa Lynn Miller; an infant son; and two brothers, Donald L. and Curtis L. Miller. Friends will be received Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 16th, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in North Buffalo Church Cemetery.
