Jessie Irene Ullom

Jessie Irene Ullom, 88, of Washington, died on Thursday, August 4, 2011, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg. She was born on August 14, 1922, in Washington, a daughter of Lynn R. and Margaret M. Spence Ashbrook. Mrs. Ullom was a 1940 graduate of Washington High School. A Homemaker, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Lincoln Chapter #112 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Amaranth Bethesda Shrine, and The Social Order of Beauceant. Mrs. Ullom was a foster mother, and she enjoyed sewing, bird watching, animals, and collecting clowns and baby dolls. On April 1, 1944, she married George R. Ullom, who died on April 8, 1979. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Lampinen, of Cleveland, OH, 4 grandchildren, George, Glenda, Gail and Ashley, and her very close friend, Sara Jane McCullough. Deceased are 3 brothers, Carl Glenn and Lynn Ashbrook, and a sister, Bertha May Ashbrook. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services. Burial will be in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
