Mamie Lancie Fetcho, 92, of Indiantown, Florida, and Terra Alta, West Virginia, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011.
She was born August 18, 1918, in Snowdon, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Nizzio and Emma Kennedy Lancie.
Mrs. Fetcho was a seamstress at Bell Drapery Company, Pittsburgh, for 25 years.
She enjoyed golfing, crafts, sewing, cooking and baking and was known as “the cookie lady” in her communities.
On April 23, 1977, she married George Fetcho, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sue (Vern) Cross of Washington; a stepson, David (Susan) Fetcho of California; a brother, George (Joan) Lancie of Monroeville; six grandchildren, Vickie (Ken) Lynch, Rick (Renee) Cross, Sandi Cross, Michell (Alan) Gordon, Michael (Michelle) Cross and Susan (John) Udishas; six great-grandchildren, Tammy (Zack) Miles, Derek (Nicole) Manderick, Sara Lynch, Amanda (Andy) Curtis, Timmy Cross and Taylor Cross; and a great-great grandchild, Annabel Manderick.
Deceased are five brothers, Leo, Harvey, Marshall, Louis and Elmer Lancie; and three sisters, Jennie Derteni, Viola Patricia Rossich and Eleanore Mercer.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 15th, in Jefferson Memorial Park, 401 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, with burial to follow in the cemetery.
