Anthony Frank Brach, 71, of Washington, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born July 26, 1940, in Washington, a son of Mike and Mae Chambers Brach.
A graduate of Washington High School in 1958 and Penn Commercial in 1959, he also served in the U. S. Army.
Mr. Brach worked in the Data Processing Department of Tri-State Engineering for twenty years, and later was Data Processing manager with West Penn Wire, until his retirement in 2007.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, enjoyed working with computers, and helping friends, and especially liked spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities.
On June 17, 1967, he married Janet West, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael Anthony Brach, a daughter, Michelle Lynne Brach-Dever, and a sister, Pamela Jean (David) Golaski, all of Washington; and three grandchildren, Meghan Elizabeth, Rebecca Ann, and Matthew Anthony Dever.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in William G Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011, with Father Thomas D. O'Neil and Pastor Gary Gibson, co-officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Citizens Library,55 S. College Street, Washington, PA 15301.
