James Martin Friedman, 59, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, in his residence.
He was born on May 12, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a son of Marlene A. Roell Rocco, of Washington, and the late James L. Friedman, who was killed in action in the Korean War.
He had worked as an installer at Hollywood Drapery for 30 years, and most recently at Matt Sims Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.
A graduate of Belle Vernon High School, he was Catholic by faith.
Mr. Friedman watched all Pittsburgh sports, but he was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, watching every game, and often attending.
He is survived by his mother, Marlene A. Roell Rocco, of Washington.
Friends will be received on Saturday, August 27, 2011, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, from 9 to 11 a.m. Services will immediately follow at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, PA.
