Charles Franklin Henderson, 39, of Claysville, died on Sunday, September 4, 2011, in Shadyside Hospital, after a brief illness.
He was born on May 19, 1972, in Washington, a son of Patty Parkinson Henderson, of Washington, and the late David Henderson.
Mr. Henderson had worked for 5 years at Godwin’s Nursery, in Washington.
He was Protestant by faith, and had attended McGuffey High School.
A member of the Jessop Club, he enjoyed football games, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, friends and his grandchildren.
On June 19, 1997, he married Betty “Renee” McCartney, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Christopher Scott, 4 daughters, Brittney Lorraine, Jessica Renee, Amanda Lynn and Brittany Kay; a brother, David (Janelle) Henderson, of Claysville; 2 sisters, Linda (John) Patten, and Bobbie Jo (John) McMasters, both of Washington; and 4 grandchildren, Austin, Dathen, Torrin and Mitchell.
He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of services, with Pastor Earl Parkinson officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
