Andrew Lee Hamilton passed away Monday, September 5, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 18, 1958, in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of Robert and Phyllis Hamilton of Claysville.
Lee graduated from McGuffey High School, where he received Future Farmers of America awards from Keystone Farmers and Star Chapter Farmers, and from Delaware Valley College, with a degree in dairy management.
Lee was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Claysville as well as Pennsylvania Holstein Association and Pennsylvania Famers Association.
He was managing partner of Green Haven Farms where he had a great love for the land and dairy cattle.
Surviving are his wife, Janet, and son, Justin, of Hickory, brother Mark (wife Sandra) of Houston, Texas, niece Andrea Hamilton of Houston, Texas, nephews David Hamilton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Keith Hamilton of Bryan, Texas, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 10th, with Rev. Jerome Creach officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Buffalo Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held at Claysville United Presbyterian Church following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations to United Presbyterian Church of Claysville in Lee’s name would be appreciated.
