Norma Lou Brady, 85, of Washington, formerly of Monongahela, died Sunday, September 11, 2011, in her residence.
She was born April 10, 1926, in Monongahela, a daughter of Neil and Mary Way Yohe.
Mrs. Brady was a 1944 graduate of Monongahela High School, and for 20 years, worked as an office manager at Bell of Pennsylvania.
Recently, she attended Immaculate Conception Church in Washington but was a life-time member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church in Monongahela, where she was in charge of marriage counseling classes.
Mrs. Brady enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 66 years, James J. Brady, survives. They were married January 19, 1945, in Fort Benning, Georgia.
Also surviving are two sons, James Brady of Atlanta, Georgia and Robert C. Brady of Washington; five grandchildren, Stephanie Blackwell, Patrick Brady, Neil Brady, Tonya Brady and Ryan Brady; and six great-grandchildren, C.J. Blackwell, Meagan Blackwell, Madison Blackwell, Matthew Blackwell, Andreas and Julianna Veneris.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 15th, in Immaculate Conception Church, with Father William Feeney as celebrant. Burial will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to John F. Kennedy School, 111 West Spruce Street., Washington, PA 15301.
