Nellie Mae Luellen, 87, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in her home. She had been in declining health.
She was born August 19, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of Grant and Esther McKahn Moore.
For more than 20 years, she was a clerk for G.C. Murphy.
Mrs. Luellen was a member of the auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Washington Senior Citizens Center.
She was married to Clyde Luellen, who died in 1966.
Surviving are a son, Henry Leroy Luellen of Washington; a brother, Donald Moore of Bridgeville; three grandchildren, Henry Luellen Jr., Gloria Dee Luellen and Robert Luellen Sr.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Grant E. Moore Jr.; a sister, Grace Naylor; and a daughter-in-law, Rosemary Vance Luellen.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 3 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday, September 18, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. A private burial in Washington Cemetery will be held at a later date.
