William B. Mastrangelo, 96, of Washington, died Thursday, September 15, 2011, in Humbert Lane Health Care Centre.
He was born September 28, 1914, in Washington, a son of Johanni and Barbara Tucci Mastrangelo.
Mr. Mastrangelo graduated from Washington High School in 1932, where he played basketball, and attended Duquesne University.
Mr. Mastrangelo was a self-employed public accountant, working with many local small businesses.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, enjoyed working crossroad puzzles, traveling, and watching sports on television.
On May 12, 1956, he married Madeline A. Bondi, who died December 10, 2000.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Astbury, of Bradenton, FL; two nieces, Barbara Jicomelli, of Canonsburg, Joan Marter, of New York, NY; and a nephew Frank Ippolito, of Ohio; and brothers-in law and sisters-in law of the Bondi family of Pittsburgh.
Deceased are two brothers, Pete and Tony Mastrangelo; and two sisters, Evelyn Ippolito and Theresa Gaw.
Friends will be received 12-4, and 6-9 p.m., Sunday, in William G Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011, in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut Street, Washington, with Father Michael Ruffalo, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
