Mary M. Babich

Mary Margaret Malik Babich, 95, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center. She was born July 29, 1916, in Cokeburg, a daughter of Steve and Anna Hustava Malik. Mrs. Babich was a homemaker who had worked at Hazel Atlas #2. She attended Immaculate Conception Church. In December 1936, she married John M. Babich, who died December 12, 2001. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including her caregivers, Margaret McWreath and Marie Capenos. Deceased are two brothers, Charles and Emil Malik; and four sisters, Josephine Lazek, Louise Keron, Mildred Bruchie and Anna Oakman. Services and interment were private.
