Catherine Sewchok Rossick

Catherine Rose Sewchok Rossick, 93, died Sunday, October 2, 2011, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington. She was born August 22, 1918, in Chickasaw, a daughter of Francis Joseph and Angelina Malugani Pomi. A homemaker and a good Italian cook, she enjoyed her family and was an avid football fan. Mrs. Rossick was Catholic by faith. Her first husband, Andy Sewchok, died in 1967, she later married Frank Rossick, who died in 2008. Surviving are three sons, Charles (Sandi) Sewchok, and Andrew (Judith) Sewchok, both of Nevada, and Joseph (Diane) Sewchok, of West Alexander; a brother, Dominic Pomi, of Scott Township; and a sister, Felicita Paul, of Castle Shannon. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Clement Pomi and Ferdinand Pomi. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, in William G Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011, with Father Thomas D. O'Neil officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. The family suggests memorial contributions to Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 S. Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
