Elizabeth Jane Mccormick

Elizabeth Jane “Betty” McCormick, 79, of Houston, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011, in her residence. She was born July 5, 1932, in Manifold, a daughter of Joseph and Leila Larkin Moore. Mrs. McCormick was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School and worked at RCA in Canonsburg. For over 30 years, she was a member of Chartiers Hill Presbyterian Church, where she was a clerk of sessions. She cooked for Meals on Wheels in Houston. On June 11, 1960, she married Grover McCormick, who died February 24, 1987. Surviving are a brother, John (Norma) Moore of Washington; an aunt, Gail Hart, of Houston, two nephews, Larry and Jim Moore; and two nieces, Lea Ann Berry and Sherie Ward. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 8th, with Rev. Donald Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
