Jeanne Darlene Tarr

Jeanne Darlene Tarr, 65, of Claysville, died on Friday, October 14, 2011, in the Donnell House, after a one-year illness. She was born on August 24, 1946, a daughter of Irene Donaldson Nelan, of Washington, and the late Jim Nelan. Mrs. Tarr had previously worked at Penn Commercial, before she worked for Brockway Glass. A graduate of Trinity High School, she attended Penn Commercial for 2 years. Mrs. Tarr loved her dogs, Buddy, Suzie, Kelsy and Cassie. Surviving are her husband, John Edward “John Eddie” Tarr, 2 sons, John E. (Cathy) Tarr, Jr. and Thomas E. (Pam) Tarr, both of Washington; 3 daughters, Georgianna and Peggy Tarr, both of Washington, and Jaimie (Charles) Nicholson, of Greenville, SC; a brother, Jim Nelan, of Eighty-Four, and several grandchildren. Deceased are a sister, Ida Jane Hillman and a grandson, “Tom Cat” Tarr. Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery.
