Lloyd Frederick Lachman, 99, of Claysville, formerly of Peters Township, died on Saturday, October 15, 2011, in the Donnell House.
He was born on September 6, 1912, in Library, PA, a son of Fredrick and Clara Metz Lachman.
Mr. Lachman had worked for Mackintosh-Hemphill Company as a truck driver, for 38 years.
Protestant by faith, he enjoyed hunting, bowling, yard work, and all Pittsburgh sports. He was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 1999.
On October 19, 1938, he married Selma Ritter, who died on February 9, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Donald (Bonnie) Lachman, of Claysville, a brother, Harold C. Lachman, of Bethel Park, 2 grandchildren, Donald (Susan) Lachman, Jr. and Diana (Cory) Loughman, and 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Nicholas and Cristin.
Deceased are a brother, Merle Lachman, and 5 sisters, Lillian, Mildred, Margaret, Helen and Dorothy.
Friends are received on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
