James C. Wolfe

James C. Wolfe, 85, of Avella, died Monday, October 24, 2011, in Donnell House. He was born August 6, 1926, in Mt. Washington, a son of Karl G. and Dorothy Stout Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe graduated from Brown University at age 19 and was a World War II Veteran of the Navy. He worked as a mechanical engineer and was a member and past president of Professional Engineers Society. Mr. Wolfe was interested in mineralogy and astronomy. On May 13, 1950, he married his wife of 61 years, Betty Kozlowksi, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Frederick J. (Natalie) Wolfe, of Moon Township; a daughter, Marsha (Steven) Osko of Washington; a sister, Mary Lou (Gordon) Gibson of Upper St. Clair; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 27th, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. Military rites will be accorded at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Wednesday by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
