Shirley Jean White

Shirley Jean White, 76, of Washington, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, in the Washington Hospital. She was born May 27, 1935, in Washington, a daughter of Clarence and Anna Marie Yater Gray. Ms. White was a private duty housekeeper who enjoyed taking care of her family, gardening and baking. She was Protestant by faith. Surviving are a brother, Kenneth Gray of Washington; seven nieces, Becky Loar, Diana Barnhart and Debbie Bebout, all of Washington, Patricia Cogniet of Westland, Betty Grayson, Harriett Southall and Estella Marie Fisher, all of Washington; and a nephew, Kenneth Gray Jr. of Scenery Hill. Deceased is a brother, Harry Gray. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 2nd. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
