Norma Jean Allen Keener Young, 76, of Washington, died Saturday, November 5, 2011, in the Washington County Health Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington on November 1, 1935, a daughter of Lester and Olive Rodgers Allen. She was a home maker and enjoyed gambling, especially bingo and playing poker and had a love for Chihuahua dogs. Surviving are sons, Richard ( Diane ) Keener of Malvern, Ohio and Randy ( Beth ) Young of Highland, California; daughter Kathy ( Ray ) Swihart of Washington; brothers James “ Sonny “ ( Ella Mae ) Allen and Jerry ( Judy ) Allen both of Washington; grandchildren, LuAnne McCullough, Rick, Jason, and Jeremy Keener, Cyndee Johnson, April and Brandi Young, and April Crouse as well as several great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are brothers, Bill, Bobby, George “ Bucky “ and Chuck Allen and a sister Betty “ Sis “ Keener. Friends for Norma Jean Allen Keener Young, 76, of Washington, who died Saturday, November 5, 2011, will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
