Donald Arthur “Huck” Davidson, 77, of Washington, died Sunday, November 13, 2011, in Canonsburg General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
He was born November 5, 1934, in Washington, a son of Gustave and Agnes Sten Davidson.
Mr. Davidson graduated from Trinity High School in 1954. On June 9, 1955, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, and receiving an Honorable Discharge on May 2, 1957.
He worked at Jessop Steel for thirty-five years and at one time had worked at Brockway Glass.
Mr. Davidson was a member of the Jessop Golf League, Keystone Club and the Pulaski Club. He loved playing golf and taking golf trips.
Mr. Davidson was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Washington.
On October 12, 1963, he married Victoria Ogrodowski, who survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Alfred Davidson, of Washington; three sisters, Agnes Davidson, Esther Davidson, and Joann Schultz; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Carl Davidson, and a sister, Adela Davidson.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in First Lutheran Church, 92 West Walnut Street, Washington, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
