Richard Lee Jones, 57, of Washington, died on Friday, November 18, 2011, in the Donnell House, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born on November 22, 1953, in Washington, a son of the late Charles L. and Kathryn Baer Jones.
He was a 1971 graduate of Trinity High School.
Mr. Jones had worked at Brockway Glass #11, then at Valspar Corporation, and most recently at Heath Consultants, as an instrument repairman.
He was President of the North Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department.
A member of the Sons of the American Legion, he was an avid Steelers and NASCAR fan.
On September 2, 1972, he married Barbara Clutter, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 brothers, David C. (Fran) Jones, of Canonsburg, and Donald W. (Joanne) Jones, of Washington; a niece, Maresa (Ryan) Keller; and 4 nephews, Daniel (Lynne) Jones, Jarrod (Amy) Jones, Donald W. Jones, II, and Darren (Danielle) Jones., and several cousins.
Friends will be received on Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave. Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, November 21, 2011, with Rev. Joel Van Briggle officiating.
Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery.
