Jerry Martin Sullivan, 74, of Washington, formerly of Cleveland, OH and Avella, PA, died on Saturday, November 26, 2011, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born on February 4, 1937, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Francis and Lessie Elizabeth Kelly Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan was a 1955 graduate of Shaw High School, in Cleveland, OH.
Prior to graduation, on December 18, 1957, he enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard, where he served in the 112th Fighter Bomber Squadron.
He owned and operated Sullivan Auto Body until his retirement.
The love of his life was his family. He also enjoyed music, horse racing and golf.
Mr. Sullivan was married to Jeanette Flora Lee (Ciora) Sullivan, until her untimely death on August 8, 1964. On February 4, 1967, in Cleveland, he married Joanne M. Miller, and moved to Avella, in 1970, where he lived and worked until his move to Washington, in 2006.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Joanne M. Sullivan, of Avella, are 2 sons, Bradley T. (Terri) Sullivan, of South Park; John J. (Vanessa) Sullivan, of South Park; and a daughter, Jeanette M. (Robert) Lawrence, of Canonsburg; 3 stepsons, William R. (Crystal) Miller, of Edgewater, FL; Timothy J. Miller, of Avella; and Michael A. (Holly) Miller, of Tarentum; a brother, Daniel R. (Lu-Ann) Sullivan, of Wickliffe, OH; a sister, Peggy (David) Dickinson, of Sarasota, FL; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Sarah, Dylan, Matt, James, Brooke, Jared, Emma, Sam, Lauren, Robert and Erin, and 2 great grandchildren, Jaxon and Isabella.
To honor his wishes, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
