Josephine Staley, 86, of Washington, died Saturday, December 3, 2011, in the Washington County Health Center.
She was born in Washington on June 23, 1925, a daughter of Joseph and Christine Delveccio LaBella.
Mrs. Staley was a home maker and a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church. She volunteered at the Washington Senior Center, enjoyed to crochet, and had been a member of the Alpine Club.
On February 16, 1947, she married Boyd E. Staley, who died on March 10, 2001.
She is survived by a son, Boyd Staley ( Linda ) of Alabama, and four grandchildren, Robyn Molinaro, Christopher Staley, Erin Jones, and Trisha Kaseler, as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are a daughter, Linda Marshall; brothers, John, Dan, Chuck, Jim, and Romeo; and sisters, Amelia and Mary.
Friends of Josephine Staley, 86, of Washington, who died Saturday, December 3, 2011, in the Washington County Health Center, will be received on Monday, from 5 to 8 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at 10:00 am, in Immaculate Conception Church, burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family is requesting memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
